Zenith — How to Play
Video tutorial · more videos

Zenith combines area control with tactical hand management across a modular board that shifts the battlefield every game. Designed by Grégory Grard and released in 2025, this is a taut tug-of-war where two to four players vie for influence through careful positioning and tech advancement.

Each session runs 25 to 35 minutes, making it a natural fit for game nights where you want strategic depth without the marathon. Players navigate tech trees to unlock new abilities while jockeying for majority control across the board's shifting zones. The game supports team play, letting pairs coordinate their moves for asymmetric showdowns.

Xavier Gueniffey Durin's art anchors the experience in a vivid aesthetic that complements the spatial puzzle at the game's core. With a complexity weight around 2.33, Zenith sits comfortably between gateway and mid-weight territory—accessible for players aged 12 and up, but with enough bite to reward repeated play. Track movement and influence mechanics ensure every turn carries consequence, and the modular setup means no two maps play quite the same.

We've had Zenith out four times in a fortnight. That's basically unheard of in this house. Rules were sorted in about ten minutes and my partner (who normally hates 'thinky' games) was the first to demand a rematch.

Chuffed to hear it landed so well. Cheers for the review!
