Boreal
Boreal is a taut two-player card game of exploration and discovery, where every choice on the river of cards could tip the balance of knowledge in your favour. On your turn, draft a card from the common river or reserve one for later, racing to claim the ruins cards that yield the most knowledge.
The clever twist is in your resources: how many you hold determines how far along the river you can reach, giving you access to a limited selection of cards — or, if you plan well, potentially all of them. Managing that reach against your opponent's grabs is the heart of the tension.
Once one or both players have gathered ten cards, the game ends and whoever has amassed the most knowledge is crowned the winner. Compact, quick to teach and endlessly replayable, Boreal is a perfect duel for two.
