Backstories: Alone under the Ice
Your brother is missing! Your only lead is a letter he sent you from Mont-Blanc, telling of his research into a Nazi treasure lost for fifty years. Now you stand at the top of Europe as Sophie, determined to find Jean and uncover the mysteries that have lain dormant beneath the ice for so long. This is the first adventure in the BACKSTORIES Saga.
Backstories uses a mechanism that's as simple as it is clever, much like a Point & Click video game. Panorama cards show the environment you're exploring, while perforated Action cards represent what you can do: Talk, Search, use Objects in your possession, and more. Simply place a perforated card over the back of the Panorama you're interested in, turn it over, and read the result of your choice.
Be warned: every choice carries real consequences you'll have to live with. Playable solo or with up to six investigators, this is a compact, immersive narrative experience where your choices shape your adventure.
