Get rid of your Payoo! In this delightfully accessible trick-taking card game, there are no jacks, queens or kings — just an unusual die and a mysterious fifth suit called Payoo. The aim is to score the fewest points possible, so try to avoid collecting those dreadful Payoos, and especially the Papayoo: that confounded 7 whose suit changes with every new hand thanks to a roll of the die.
Unhappy with your cards? Don't fret! Simply pass your hand to the player on your left before play begins — but choose wisely, because you'll be receiving whatever the player on your right hands you. Then play out the hand with no trumps and no qualms. As anyone who's played will tell you, the best player doesn't always win!
