Artist: Olivier Derouetteau

Olivier Derouetteau brings a distinctive illustrative approach to board game art, often characterized by clean linework, vibrant color palettes, and a whimsical yet grounded aesthetic that makes complex game states instantly readable. His work balances playful character design with functional clarity, creating visual systems that guide players through rules while maintaining artistic charm. Paper World from Lumberjacks studio exemplifies this approach, showcasing his ability to render tactile, crafted environments that feel both inviting and strategically transparent.

This collection suits players who appreciate games where the artwork enhances comprehension rather than overwhelming it—perfect for families and groups who value visual accessibility alongside artistic merit. Derouetteau's style particularly shines in medium-weight euros where iconography and thematic illustration must work in concert, making these titles ideal for players aged 10+ who want beauty without sacrificing gameplay flow.
