Some announcements make us sit up a little straighter. When Czech Games Edition revealed it was teaming up with Warhorse Studios to bring Kingdom Come: Deliverance to the table, we knew straight away this one would be special. We're delighted to share that pre-orders are now open here at MPGames.

It Is 1403, and You Are Nobody
If you've played the video game, you'll know the setting well: the Kingdom of Bohemia, rich and prosperous, but caught in the middle of a political crisis. Kings and nobles scheme and fight for power, while ordinary folk seem to have no say at all. Kingdom Come: Deliverance – The Board Game drops you right into that world, and just like Henry, you begin at the very bottom: a village commoner in homespun clothes, with a few coins to your name and nothing but a simple dagger at your side.
Where you go from there is entirely up to you. Over several in-game days and nights, you'll try to leave your mark on history. Help the local nobility, build useful connections, cross swords with bandits, or turn to a life of crime and pinch anything from trinkets to horses. You might train as a skilled archer, become a silver-tongued talker who can charm their way out of anything, or master alchemy and brew a cure for every ailment. Whatever path you pick, it's yours.
Two Design Heavyweights, Together at Last
This is the part that really got us excited. The game marks the first collaboration between Vlaada Chvátil and Tomáš Holek. Vlaada needs little introduction: he's the mind behind Codenames, Through the Ages and Mage Knight, and was inducted into the Origins Award Hall of Fame in 2019. Tomáš burst onto the scene with SETI: Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, which picked up a shelf-full of awards including the Deutscher Spiele Preis. Put those two in a room with one of the most beloved RPGs of recent years, and our expectations are sky high.
An Adventure Game with a Euro Heart
CGE describes this as an epic adventure game mixed with euro elements, and that combination is what makes it stand out. There's the freedom and storytelling you'd hope for from a Kingdom Come game, with deck-building at its core to shape your character as they grow. Your starting setup nudges you in a direction, but the open world encourages you to chase your own goals and write your own story.
It's competitive, but not cut-throat. Rather than attacking each other directly, players succeed through their own achievements, so the focus stays on your personal journey rather than on tearing your friends down.
Solo or with Friends
The game plays 1 to 4 players, including a dedicated solo mode. That's great news for anyone who lost weeks to the video game on their own and fancies a quiet evening in medieval Bohemia with no one else to worry about.
A Proper Big-Box Experience
This is a hefty production, with more than 700 cards in the box. For those who want to go all in, CGE is also offering a set of premium metal coins as an add-on. There's something deeply satisfying about counting out real weight in groschen when you're haggling with a blacksmith.

Why Pre-order?
The game makes its debut at SPIEL Essen 2026, and copies from the initial print run are limited. We're expecting our stock to arrive in Q2 2027. We don't have a firm date just yet, but we'll keep all pre-order customers updated as soon as we know more. Pre-ordering now means your copy is reserved and you won't miss out when it lands.
You can pre-order your copy for £115, and it qualifies for free delivery. Lock it in now on our product page.
Is This Game for You?
If you're a fan of the video games, the answer is almost certainly yes. But even if you've never set foot in Rattay, this is worth a look if you enjoy story-driven adventures, character progression, deck-building, or games that give you real freedom to play your own way. And with two of the finest designers in the hobby behind it, we'd be surprised if it isn't one of the talking points of the year.
While you're here, why not browse the rest of our Czech Games Edition collection? From party classics to heavyweight strategy, there's plenty to keep you busy until your copy arrives.
We can't wait to see your stories from the road. Until then, keep your sword sharp and your purse full!
